      Chicago Foodie Getaway

Im getting caught up on all my blogging and realized that I never posted any pics from my weekend getaway with my honey to Chicago.  It was a last minute, “Hey Honey, do you want to get out of town?”.  The answer is always YES, unless I’m working.  We found a hotel from Quikbook.  They have secret deals on hotels, so you don’t know the hotel your going to but we selected a boutique hotel with 4 starts, so we were hoping for the best.  I was a little nervous about doing that, because I had a very bad experience in Spain with something like that.  Anyways, it was kind of exciting and fun and when we got there we were pleasantly surprised.  The hotel was right in the heart of everything and right next to Sears Tower.  It was still pretty cold there, but I had never been to Chicago and was exciting about going.  I have always been told that I would love it.  I really did!  I loved the architecture, the food, the people and all the art work.  We saw some amazing and very famous art work at the Art Institute of Chicago.  It was nice traveling there in March, because the weather wasn’t too unbearable.  We were on a mission to eat which was fun, since I didn’t have to worry about it being bikini season quite yet.   Some our favorite spots were: Eleventh St. Diner-which we ate there everyday for breakfast, Carmine’s, Hugo’s Frog Bar and Shaw’s Crab House.  Every spot was so yum!  The best thing about being in Chicago is that you eat and walk it off.  “It’s a nice!”  I would definitely go back.  I want to see Chicago in the spring.  I bet it is so beautiful and luckily in the spring you don’t have to worry about the “Falling Ice”.

      Hannah’s 1st Birthday Party-Houston TX

I was thrilled when my past wedding client asked me to capture their little girls 1st birthday party.  I’ve had the pleasure of capturing their wedding, Hannah as a newborn and now as she turns one.  Her adoring parents threw her a colorful bash in a “Flash” with fun pink and yellow details.  They treated their friends and family to frozen margaritas, yummy Mexican food, cake and pink lemonade.  I had fun capturing Hannah devouring her little cake!  What a little cutie!  Congrats to Margaret, Tanner, Hannah and family! All the best!

Samantha + Jonathan Wedding-Tuscany Villa Katy TX

I had a lot of fun shooting S+J’s wedding.  I was helping my friend Dennis and worked as his second shooter.  I got to hang out with the groom and his guys while they got ready.  They were a really fun group of guys and they loved the camera…which is always nice.  Samantha and Jonathan had their adorable dog carry the rings down the aisle.  I loved their color combo of gray and orange.  That was my first time to the Tuscany Villa.  I really enjoyed all the great photo opps.  Congrats to Sam and Jon for putting together an awesome wedding!  All the best!
