      ESPN-The NFL Texan vs The Smart Car

      I recently had the opportunity to help out one of my awesome girlfriends Jayme Lamm.  She is Houston’s Most Valuable writer/blogger for theblondeside.com and  is also one of the co-founders of charitychickshouston.com  She asked me to come along with her to photograph Houston Texans Duane Brown.  She was writing for ESPN about her challenge “Can an NFL tackle fit inside a smart car?”  We met the 6 ft. 5in 350 lb. offensive lineman on one of the hottest days this summer, right after training camp to see if he could fit into the 106 in. smart car.  It was so funny to see this tall, fierce NFL football player stand before us and the smart car.  It didn’t seem like it would be possible for him to fit inside, but surprisingly he did.  Although, once he was in he didn’t quite look like the tough NFL football player anymore, but more like a cute little kid behind the wheel of his first go-kart.  It was totally worth sweating bullets to see that!  Here are some other pics from that day!  Check out Jayme’s post from ESPN!

      Jennifer & Mike-Hotel Galvez Wedding

      These two gorgeous high school sweethearts tied the knot this past spring.  They had a beautiful garden wedding at the Hotel Galvez in Galveston.  I know their love is built to last a lifetime.  I loved seeing their parents on the dance floor holding each other and looking so in love.  It was so sweet!  They have great examples to live by.  All the best in your adventures together in life.  P.S. I can’t wait to see the beautiful babies you guys will create one day!  🙂

      Jennifer & Chad-Alden Hotel Houston Wedding

      This is one of my favorite weddings from this spring. This one was so special to me because it was the first time back to The Alden Hotel were I tied the knot last year.  So, I was thrilled when Jennifer booked me and told me she was having her reception at the Veranda at the Alden.  It was such a pleasure to work with Jennifer and Chad.  They are such an awesome couple and so totally in love!   They had a beautiful ceremony at the First Presbyterian Church and the reception was a blast with Grady Gaines and the Texas Upsetters.  Special Thanks to all the vendors who made this amazing wedding happen.

      Sedona Arizona Engagement Session-Houston Engagement Photographer

      I feel so lucky to work with some amazing couples.  I was recently invited to Arizona to photograph Raquel and Garrett for their engagement session.  Garrett is a strength coach for the Royals and Raquel is athletic performance specialist.  They are both from Houston but now live in the Phoenix area.   With their busy schedules they weren’t able to come to Houston for their engagement session so they flew me out to Arizona to shoot their session.  They wanted to shoot in Sedona about 2hrs north of Phoenix at one of their favorite spots the L’Auberge de Sedona.  The hotel is nestled in between the red rocks and has a little creek that runs next to the property which makes it a beautiful and super relaxing location.  I had to get some photos on the red rocks, so I found a spot that was perfect to catch the sunset.  I have to say Raquel Rocks!  She scaled the rocks like a pro in her heels, I was totally amazed.  I found a location that had a trail to the top, but I asked them to stand in a certain spot to get some shots and then they said we are already half way up lets just climb instead of going back down to the trail.  I was game and they are both very athletic and so with a little of Garrett’s encouragement and helping hands we all were able to climb the rocks to the top.     Thanks again to Raquel and Garrett!  We loved  AZ!  It was so nice to finally meet you guys and we had such a great time!  I can’t wait for the big day this fall!
