Happy Valentine’s Day!

Hope everyone’s day is filled with love and joy today! My lil’ furbaby Sebastian just turned 5 so I thought it would be fun to bust out his tuxedo and have a little photo session with him. I just got these big heart pillows for props so they were perfect. Sebastian hates getting his photo taken. He was like me when I was little or like most kids….you have to work quick. He is great in the fact that he will just sit there and let me put him in anything and dress him anyway…I think he likes dressing up, but to get a smile or some excitement from him is ruff. LOL. Treats did not help today, but luckily with the magic of photoshop I was able to easily get that smile I wanted.

Kori & Zach Rehearsal Dinner

Here are a few shots from Kori and Zach’s rehearsal dinner at Armadillo Palace. They had a real Texas style welcome dinner for their family and friends with the best bbq in town. Armadillo Palace is the event space for Goode Co. next door. Goode Co. is my absolute favorite spot in town for bbq. What a great way to treat your out of town guest.

Happy Valentine’s!!! My friend Modi and her baby girl Annabelle came by last week to have a lil’ sweetheart session. You might remember this lil cutie from a previous post. She was the lil one striking a pose on the leopard print background and the big flower in her hair. She was only days old and she came out ready to strut her stuff…..just like her momma.

Erin + Kevin Wedding-Chapelwood Houston Masaraff’s

It was a gorgeous and perfect fall day, for Erin and Kevin. They picked one of the luckiest days of the year to get married 11.11.11. I began taking photos of Erin and her children at her home that was decorated with pumpkins and fall foliage, which looked so pretty against the plum colored dresses. The kids loved the “big car” that picked them up and to take them to the church. They were so excited about the limo, it was so cute. Heck, I still get excited to get into a limo too. lol Erin and Kevin had an intimate ceremony at the Chapelwood Church surrounded by their closest family and friends. Erin, later confessed that she was so busy planning her wedding, going to school, working and raising 3 children, that it kinda slipped her mind to tell the kids where to stand during the ceremony. I thought they were so good during the ceremony, especially giving me a picture perfect moment when they all sprawled out on the stairs to watch the show (too cute). Afterwards, to celebrate E+K treated their guests to fabulous food and wine at Masaraff’s. Congrats to Erin and Kevin…may you continue to be lucky in love!

Nikki & Ernie Engagement Session-League City

I had a blast shooting their engagement session. I love going to new spots. I met Nikki and Ernie in League City. They wanted to shoot at Helen’s Garden near by thier wedding site, the Butler’s Courtyard. N+E are a super sweet and easy going couple who made my job a breeze. They were striking poses left and right and working all of their moves. I loved it! They love spending time outdoors, especially hanging out with their lovable furbaby Piper (their French Bulldog). They also love going to the movies, so I thought the old town in LC would be another great spot for their photos. It has such a cinematic feel with the old looking store front buildings and the old rail-car. I love the juxtaposition of the boys riding through my shot. I can’t wait to shoot their wedding!

Colton Cerny Portraits-Austin Texas Musician

I met Colton in November when he came into town for our shoot. He is an up-incoming singer/songwriter from Austin. He is in the process of recording his first album. We discussed his music and vision that he wanted for his photos and he told me his music is a combination of garage rock , 60′s pop and old school R&B. If you like Van Morrison, Bob Dylan and James Brown you will like Colton Cerny. He is super sweet and full of soul. He wanted something really gritty and urban, so we went to a few locations near the studio and downtown. Here are a few of my favorite images from the day.

Jennifer & Chad-Galveston Engagement Session

I’m so happy to finally share Jennifer and Chad’s engagement photos! They are so cute together and you can tell they are totally in love. They are getting married this April at the Alden Hotel (same location I tied the knot . They told me they love the beach and they wanted to do a beach session. The weather was perfect and we had so much fun strolling along the beach and enjoying a frozen cocktail after our session. I can’t wait for their big day!
